Celebrate your special day

The Rifle is ideal for hosting wedding receptions. The venue has a large, open plan layout, with a big bar, stage and dance floor, a games room with pool tables, and an area that would be great for buffet-style catering.

The venue can accommodate up to 280 people, with seating for approximately 90. We have a range of tables of varying sizes, which can be arranged to suit your requirements. In terms of decorations, we’re happy to allow flowers, balloons and some other items - please see the Booking T&Cs for further information on this.

The bar stocks an extensive range of well-priced draught beers, spirits, Champagne, Prosecco and Cava. We’re able to organise drinks on arrival should you wish, table wines and buffet-style catering. 

You are welcome to organise your own buffet-style catering, as well as your own band or DJ, providing they have their own equipment and liability insurance.

There is a smoking area to the rear of the club.

Please be advised that during the football season we are unable to accept bookings for an afternoon reception on Saturdays as we have an obligation to the Portsmouth FC home supporters to have our bar open. We can, however, provide evening facilities on those days.

If you wish to book on a Friday or any other day of the week, there are no restrictions. However, we would need an idea of expected numbers and timings in order to provide a quotation.
